Profile Adina Marie Wright

Adina Wright is driven by a passion to support programs focused on empowering all youth to maximize their academic and professional potential. Adina believes in doing this by increasing their access to equitable and high-quality educational experiences. She completed her undergraduate degree in biology at Spelman College and received a M.S. in educational psychology from Georgia State University. During the course of Adina’s graduate program, she participated in several research opportunities assessing factors related to the educational advancement of underserved populations. She served as graduate research assistant for Project GRAD Atlanta’s director of Evaluation and Strategic Partnerships, assisting with the data management, collection, and analysis of Project GRAD Atlanta’s evaluation outcomes. She also contributed to a variety academic enrichment programs focused on providing career development and post-secondary education information to secondary and post-secondary students. At the conclusion of the program, Adina was awarded the Outstanding Master’s Project in Educational Psychology by her department. Adina’s experience includes serving as a scholarship coordinator for the Boys & Girls Club of Atlanta; a counselor for Teacher Education and Compensation Helps (T.E.A.C.H); and an early college awareness advisor for the Gaining Early Awareness & Readiness for Undergraduate Programs (GEAR-UP).
